FOR VOLUNTEERS

Every concert has more than one pair of helping hands.

Every Swan Songs concert begins with one person's request — their music, their moment. Opera or mariachi, bluegrass or R&B, you're the one who brings it to life. Swan Songs was founded by a working musician, and paying musicians for their artistry has been part of the mission from the start.

IN A VOLUNTEER’S WORDS

“What an honor to be allowed into a family for this brief moment in time… This kind of experience adds awareness and gratitude to our life."

WAYS TO HELP

CONCERT LIAISON

Concert Liaisons are in the room where it happens: they attend each private concert and act as the facilitator between the musician, recipient, family, and care professionals. A deeply meaningful and gratifying role, each Concert Liaison is personally trained to a code of conduct and signs a confidentiality agreement prior to facilitating private concerts.

EVENT VOLUNTEER

Each year, Swan Songs hosts fundraising, outreach and programmatic events. For fundraising events, volunteers might assist with silent auction collection, set up and tear down at the venue, greeting guests, etc. An example of a programmatic event would be a Volunteer Appreciation Gathering or the annual Remember & Reflect™ Gathering, our public memorial event. For fundraising events like the Serenade, volunteers might assist with silent auction collection, setup, greeting guests, and more.

ADMIN SUPPORT

As Swan Songs grows, so does the infrastructure and need for diligent record keeping, database updates, mailings, filing, and more. If you love behind-the-scenes work that keeps the mission running, this is your fit.
