Barbii Shepard

Born in Hollywood, CA, Barbii developed a passion for both rock and roll and community service at a young age. Following law school, she pursued a career in commercial real estate investment while volunteering and serving as a board member for a wide variety of local, regional, and national charitable organizations. But before long, she decided to follow her heart and pivoted her career into the nonprofit sector full time by obtaining a certification in fundraising and nonprofit management. 

In her high-achieving 30+ year career as a developmental specialist, Barbii has created and led annual fund and capital campaigns, planned legacy gifts, and managed volunteers. She has been gratified to procure gifts up to $3m for a variety of 501(c)3’s including the NICU of a regional hospital, a shelter for women and children, and an LA organization which provides mental healthcare for traumatized youth. She especially enjoys using her expertise to help donors create testamentary gifts that reflect their values, enhance their financial well being, and create a legacy for future generations. Barbii has been repeatedly recognized for her ability to create and deepen relationships with donors of all walks of life. 

In 2021, Barbii realized a longtime dream when she relocated to the culturally vibrant, beautifully evergreen Portland, OR, where she can often be found volunteering for the community and her church, exploring with her dogs, and capturing photos and videos of live music events around the city. As a proud Mom of four multi-instrumentalist young adults, she was especially touched when her kids shared that she was responsible for sparking their musical passion.
